Bookworm

I have never been a big reader. I have always found it difficult to find the time to sit down, relax and read a book. In the past month, I have read 6 books. I am seriously obsessed with reading right now. I think it's all about finding the right books that you like and not being forced to read them like you are in school. I'm really into trilogies right now. I already finished The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins and within the past week I have read the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy by E L James. If you haven't read either of these, I suggest doing so very soon. I liked Fifty Shades of Grey so much that I am about to re-read it. One of the ladies at Barnes and Noble suggested that I read Bared to You by Sylvia Day. She said that if I enjoyed Fifty Shades then I would love this book. I'm flying out to San Antonio for Phi Mu's National Convention on Wednesday so I was trying to save that book for the trip. At the rate I've been reading, it will be gone in a day.

Do y'all have any suggestions of books that you think I would enjoy?

Kate Spade Studs

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and beginning to their week! I have been working a lot, which I enjoy because it keeps me busy. I hate sitting around and doing nothing. I've also been celebrating lots of birthday's with my friends. June has always been a busy birthday month.

I am a stud lover. They look perfect whether you have your hair up or down. Kate Spade has the classiest studs that can go with any outfit. I could seriously buy all of them.

Handbags Are a Necessity

Every girl always needs a new handbag. I haven't bought a new one in a while and I'm in dire need of one. I just started following k.slademade's Instagram and I have fallen in love with her products. I think they are exactly what I need. What do y'all think of them?

You can even get them personalized!

Florida Vacation

We are finally back home from a wonderful vacation in Florida.  Tyler and I got to Orlando around lunch on Wednesday.  The drive down wasn't too bad since we stayed in Savannah on Tuesday night to break up the trip.  I get slightly restless if I'm in a car too long, but I guess everyone does.  When we arrived at Hilton Grand Vacations Suites we went straight to their pool.  We spent the afternoon sitting by the pool with drinks in our hand.  This was a wonderful place to stay.  If anyone is going to Orlando anytime soon, I recommend staying here.

Later on Wednesday afternoon, we went Aquatica.  Buying Discovery Cove tickets allows you tickets to Aquatica and SeaWorld.  We had so much fun at the water park.  Very few people were there late in the day so the lines were short.  They have a slide that is glass so you can see through it as it goes through a tank of Commerson's Dolphins.  So neat!

Thursday was the big day that we were able to go to Discovery Cove.  I seriously could not sleep from the excitement.  We spent the morning snorkeling through a reef with tropical fish and stingrays.  It was so amazing being able to touch things like this and swim with them.  Tyler is a pro at snorkeling since he goes spear fishing in Wrightsville Beach.  I, on the other hand, had to get the hang of it.  Once I did, Tyler couldn't get me out of the water.  Early afternoon, we were able to swim with the dolphins.  Our specific dolphin was 8 years old, which is very young for dolphins, and her name is Dot.  She was beautiful.  We learned a few training signals that make dolphins do tricks.  I learned a signal that makes dolphins put their nose in your hands so you can kiss them.  I was seriously in love.

We were able to swim out to a location where Dot came and picked us up for a ride back to shore.  It was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had.  I wish I could relive it every day.

We went to SeaWorld on Friday.  I've been here about 15 times and it never gets old.  It was Tyler's first time so it was so neat seeing his reaction to everything.

We went to my visit my family in the Clearwater and St. Pete area on Saturday.  It was good to see them, even if it was only for a night.  I had the most amazing vacation.  I could not have asked for a better graduation present.

Florida Bound!

Hey Y'all!  Tyler and I are all packed up and about to head to Florida for vacation.  As a graduation gift, Tyler made reservations for us at Discovery Cove.  I love marine life and have always wanted to swim with dolphins so you can only imagine my excitement when I found out we were going.  We're also going to go to SeaWorld and, of course, spend time by the pool.  My Grandma lives near Clearwater so we're going to drive down there on Saturday and stay with her for the night before heading back to Wilmington.  I am so excited about our trip and can't wait to share the pictures with y'all!

Let the Celebrations Begin!

I hope everyone had an exciting week!  It has been a very busy, but fun week.  I was able to go home to Little Washington and visit with my Granny for her birthday. It was so nice seeing my family, even if it was only for a little while.

I was able to see my best friend, Sara, on Thursday night.  She just got a big girl job!  It makes seeing each other so much harder, but we always seem to make time for each other.  On Friday, I went to Raleigh to go to the Lady Antebellum concert.  I LOVE going to country concerts.  There is nothing better than a sundress and cowboy boots.  I made it back to Wrightsville Beach yesterday and have been enjoying time with friends.  I spent the day on the beach then went to Dockside to start celebrating my friend, Molly's 21st birthday.  We had dinner and drinks overlooking the Intercoastal Waterway.  Can you ask for a better Sunday afternoon?

I hope everyone had a wonderful week!

Weekend Bliss

I hope everyone had as good of a weekend as what I had!  I spent the weekend in Raleigh and attended one of my sorority sister's bridal shower.  I have always admired Lyndsay and I am so excited for her to get married.  It was nice to see so many girls that I haven't seen in forever. It's sad when everyone has to go their separate ways due to school and jobs, but it makes you cherish your time together when you do have it.

The beautiful bride-to-be!

Are these not adorable?

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!  I am working tomorrow and then heading home to spend time with my Granny for her birthday on Thursday.  I'm very excited to see her, as always.  AND I'm going to the Lady Antebellum concert in Raleigh on Friday.  I am so excited to get out my cowboy boots and a cute dress for this occasion.

XOXO- April
